We are currently working on the following projects:
The Parents and Youth Study - The Parents and Youth Study is a 5-wave longitudinal study of the social construction of fatherhood from age 12 to 25. Our sample of 392 families were sampled to represent two ethnic groups (Mexican American and White) and two father types (biological and stepfathers).Â
Eating and Divorce - The Eating and Divorce project seeks to examine the connections between family eating habits (specifically family mealtimes and obesity risk factors), the family changes of parental divorce or separation, and media use. Participants shared information about family routines, parenting, relationships with children and spouses, and eating habits through food diaries and interviews.
The Social Cognitive Preschool - This project involves data collection with preschoolers each fall semester since 2010. More than 140 children have participated to date and many of those children participated in two separate years.
