We study human history through arts and train students to think, study, speak and write systematically.

Purpose

The Art History Program includes courses directly associated with culture, particularly through arts. Nowadays, both world and national historical heritage remains have been taken for granted, ruined and lost. Thus, the curriculum intends to train students to value and contribute in preserving the cultural heritage.

Objectives

1.To produce graduates with keen knowledge and understanding of Art History as well as professional morals and ethics.

Philosophy

Knowledge and understanding on diverse societies and cultures lead to the making of a sustainable and good society with awareness of human dignity.

Purpose

Anthropology Program studies human to understand self and others. Its focus on culture multiplicity contributes to accepting diversity and appreciating society and culture in a local context. Anthropology courses can be profitable for students to work with communities, societies and public.

Objectives

1.To provide graduates with knowledge base of concepts and research methodology in Anthropology to develop research skills and competencies.

2.To reinforce graduates’ positive habits of mind to accept the existence of social diversity affected by globalization both in Thailand and worldwide in order to build a learning society where different types of wisdom are recognized and community rights are honored.

3.To enable graduates to apply anthropological knowledge in organizational or institutional careers and to utilize it for country development.

4.To equip students to become moral and ethical graduates.

English develops language potential, enhances cross-cultural communication and prepares students for global community.

Purpose

The program provides students with knowledge and understanding of language and cross-cultural communication and builds their communicative competence in English in order to meet labor demand and to pursue a higher education.

Objectives

1.To produce graduates able to use English for an efficient communication, systematic analysis and creative critical thinking.

2.To equip graduates with English skills they need in order to provide cross-cultural communication in response to a variety of contexts.

3.To enable graduates to apply English to their further studies and to carry out a profession morally and ethically.

French as career capacity

Purpose

French is an international language and one of the significant modern foreign languages since France and French-speaking countries play an important role in the world’s societies, economy, politics and technology. Thus, French proficiency and the understanding of France’s perspectives, philosophy of life, art and culture can improve French learning and encourage comparative study which can be appropriately adjusted and applied in circumstances in Thailand.

Objectives

To produce graduates with French proficiency and understanding of French art and culture and to improve their knowledge, perspectives, judgement, virtue and ethics as the essentials to persue a career and a higher education.

Appreciate local values, understand diversity, apply knowledge creatively, hold ethics and take social responsibility.

Purpose

Local History Program studies local development and dynamics in order to understand people, culture and local wisdom as well as interrelationships between local, urban, national, ASEAN and world societies.

Objectives

1.To provide graduates with knowledge and understanding of the Local History concept.

2.To train graduates to know how to think, analyze and conduct research in Local History.
