Wave Defence sees a new World Record this month, with Splee continuing on with his excellent work on the optimizations for this category.
Taking nearly 30s off the current leader, AntiElitz, and stealing the World Record from right out underneath him!
This category is a great way to learn how to deal with biters, if you're looking for something with a bit more of a challenge than Steelaxe%, this is the one!

In January the current speedrunning admin team for SR.com held a vote to appoint a new team of admins (5 total).
After an intense and very close vote, the results are in!
Please welcome your new admins, who will serve the speedrun community from February to July.
Currently the appointment is due to last 6 months per term with a new team voted for in July 2024.

January has been a relatively quiet month in terms of World Records, but very active for new runners and improvements alike!
Being voted as part of the admin team for SR.com is an amazing honour and I hope to serve the speedrunning community well over the next 6 months alonside a fantastic group of admins.
