At long last and with a lot of dedication to the cause, Team Waterbus have broken the World Record for Default Settings Multiplayer!
This record has stood for just over 2.5 years, being previously held by Team Steelaxe.
This may now be the record that stands for quite a while, as Factorio 2.0 is just around the corner and most other players are engaged in other categories or just waiting for the new content to arrive!

Derek has well and truly cemented his position at the top of the table recently, and this new World Record is all the proof you need!
This World Record was preceded by another of his own earlier in the month, proving there is still more time to be squeezed out of this category with the right maps and the perfect plays.
I'm not sure anyone will catch Derek now, he's on a hot streak, with Nefrums and AntiElitz falling further and further behind.... for now!

Another couple of world records to report on this month, they just don't sleep!
The latest FFF #426 showcased some nice improvements to the Resource search & Assembler GUI improvements, and I must say all of the quality of life and general changes being made in preparation for 2.0 are probably going to kill a LOT of current mods off, in a good way of course!
We're now only 7 weeks & 1 more Newsletter away from 2.0 release (21st October 2024) and i'm very excited to get my first vanilla play through going!
