Dr. Marc Hoit is the Vice Chancellor for Information Technology and CIO at NC State University. He is a Professor in the Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering Department at NC State. Hoit received his B.S. from Purdue University, M.S. and Ph.D. from University of California, Berkeley in Structural Engineering
Tina Bennefield is a Leadership & Organizational Development Consultant with Industry Expansion Solutions within the College of Engineering at NC State University. She brings more than 20 years of experience in facilitation that includes large scale strategic planning and change initiatives, and process improvement, decision-making, problem-solving and team development. Ms. Bennefield holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor's degree from California State University, Sacramento.
Sarah Hoit describes her job as being a translator between the worlds of science and design. For the previous 5 years she has worked as a Senior Material Scientist; specifying materials and selecting applicable production methods. Having worked on products ranging from bluetooth speakers and cosmetics to running shoes and credit cards, breadth of material knowledge and bringing fresh thinking to the table have earned her experience with Global Fortune 500 clients. Facilitation provides the opportunity to leverage Interpersonal skills and technical knowledge to support cross-platform and cross-team collaboration.
