SwapMagic: AI Face Swap ("app") is a mobile application that lets you create AI-powered face swap images using templates or your own photos. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, where it is stored, and how you can contact us about your privacy.
By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the app.
Photos and images
- Photos you select or take in the app (including for face detection and face swap) are sent to our servers to perform AI processing. We do not use them for advertising or sell them.
- Generated face swap images may be stored on our systems so you can view them in the app's "My Creations" gallery. You can delete any creation from the app at any time.
Account and device
- When you use the app, we obtain a device identifier and create or use an authentication token so we can link your activity to your account (e.g. credits, creations, subscription status). This data is stored on your device and on our servers.
- If you enable push notifications, we collect and store the push notification token (e.g. FCM token) so we can send you notifications. You can disable notifications in your device settings.
Subscription and payments
- If you subscribe or make in-app purchases, we receive information about your subscription and entitlements (e.g. from Google Play and RevenueCat) to manage access and credits. We do not collect or store your payment card details; payments are processed by Google Play.
Usage and stability
- We use analytics (e.g. Firebase Analytics) and crash reporting (e.g. Firebase Crashlytics) to understand how the app is used and to fix errors. This can include information such as app screens visited, in-app actions, and crash logs. We do not use your photos or face swap content for analytics or advertising.
Advertising
- The app shows ads via Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). AdMob may collect data for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention. Your photos and face swap content are not used for ad targeting. You can limit ad personalization or reset your advertising ID in your device settings.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide face swap and photo editing features.
- Store and display your creations in the in-app gallery and manage credits and subscriptions.
- Send push notifications if you have allowed them.
- Improve the app (e.g. analytics and crash reports).
- Show ads and measure ad performance (via AdMob).
- Operate and secure our services (e.g. authentication, fraud prevention).
- Comply with law and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your photos or face swap content for third-party advertising or marketing.
3. Content safety and moderation
We work to keep SwapMagic respectful and age-appropriate. As part of that:
- Every photo you select for face detection or face swap is checked by our automated nudity / explicit-content moderation before any AI processing or upload takes place.
- Photos flagged as unsafe are blocked at the device — they are not uploaded, processed, or stored, and you are asked to choose a different image.
- We rely on industry-standard machine learning. No automated check is perfect, so we may sometimes make mistakes in either direction; if you believe a result is wrong, please contact us using the details in Section 11.
- We block attempts to generate sexual, harassing, or otherwise harmful content, and may suspend or terminate access for users who repeatedly try to bypass these rules.
This safeguard exists to follow Google Play’s Sexual Content & Profanity and AI-Generated Content policies and to protect everyone using the app.
4. How we store your information
On your device
- We store data locally using the app's storage (e.g. authentication token, device identifier, onboarding state, and paths to images you have selected). This data stays on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app data.
On our servers
- Photos you upload for face swap processing are transmitted over the internet to our servers, used for AI processing, and then handled as described in Section 4 (retention). Generated images may be stored so you can access them in "My Creations" until you delete them.
- Account-related data (e.g. token, device token, subscription/entitlement information) is stored on our systems to provide the service.
Security
- We use industry-standard measures (e.g. encryption in transit) to protect data sent between your device and our servers. No system is completely secure; we do not guarantee absolute security.
5. How long we keep your information
- Photos used for processing – Removed after processing is complete; we do not keep them for longer than necessary to deliver the result.
- Generated creations – Kept until you delete them in the app. If you delete a creation, we remove it from our systems in line with our internal procedures.
- Account and subscription data – Retained while you use the app and as needed for legal, tax, or support purposes.
- Analytics and crash data – Kept in anonymized or aggregated form; retention follows our providers' policies (e.g. Firebase).
- Ad-related data – Subject to AdMob's retention and your choices (e.g. reset advertising ID in device settings).
- Push notification token – Kept until you disable notifications or uninstall the app; we may also remove it when you request account or data deletion.
6. Third-party services
The app uses the following third-party services. Each may collect and process data as described in its own privacy policy:

7. When we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:
- With service providers that help us run the app (e.g. hosting, analytics, push notifications, subscriptions) under contracts that limit use and require confidentiality.
- With advertising partners (e.g. AdMob) for ad serving, measurement, and fraud prevention. Your photos and face swap content are not shared for their advertising or marketing.
- When required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property, or to enforce our terms.
8. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Delete creations – Use the in-app option to remove any creation from "My Creations"; we will delete it from our systems as described above.
- Revoke permissions – In your device settings, you can revoke camera, storage, or notifications. Some features may stop working.
- Disable notifications – Turn off push notifications in your device or app settings.
- Limit ad personalization – Use your device settings to limit or reset advertising ID (e.g. Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
- Cancel subscription – Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Google Play account (Subscription settings).
If you want to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or have a privacy complaint, contact us using the details in Section 11. We will respond in line with applicable law (e.g. within the time required by GDPR or other local laws).
9. Children's privacy
SwapMagic: AI Face Swap is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected information from someone under 18, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. International data
Your data may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g. contracts, standard contractual clauses) where required by law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy. For important changes, we may notify you in the app or by email if we have it.
