Information
Preliminary Registration
Please consider making in-person preliminary registration already on Wednesday evening in the Hotel Lobby, close to the reception. In this case, you can skip the crowdy registration minutes before the plenary on Thursday morning. Take your conference bag and name badge in advance.
Presentation
Please bring your PPT presentation with you on a memory stick, Pendrive, and upload it to the computers right before your session. Besides, please upload your presentations ASAP to a file-sharing platform and then send the link to the conference e-mail address: fabosconference2022@gmail.com, just for safety.
The presentation shall be a maximum of 12 minutes.
Socializing and Field trips
We would like to draw your attention to many options for contacting and socializing together. Do not hesitate to join:
30th of June, Thursday evening, common walk on Margaret Island, starting from the hotel at 19:30
(finishing close to the Parliament around 21:00 or back to the hotel by 21:30)1st of July, Friday evening from 18:30 "Social hour" before the dinner in the Lobby, Terase, and the Japanese Garden nearby.
1st of July, Friday evening from 19:30 "Fabos Award Ceremony" with dinner (almost fully booked)
2nd of July, Saturday: Field study tours, only a few (4-5) places left on the bus.
3rd of July, Sunday: Field study tours, only a few (5-8) places left on the bus.
In case you are willing to join the field study excursions, please apply in person at the registration desk latest on Friday at 14:00.
In Hungary, the weather in July is warm and sunny but any time can be rainy, windy, and stormy for a few hours. That is why we recommend you to bring a hut, sun lotion, and a raincoat as well.

Or simply take the bus 26 from any of the final stations ("Nyugati pályaudvar" or "Göncz Árpád városközpont" Metro stations) or intermediate stations. Nr. 26 is the only bus that is crossing Margaret Island (Margit-Sziget) and you can easily approach the Hotel in case you get off the bus at the "Zenélőkút" bus stop. You cannot enter the Island by your own car from the South, but you can park at the northern end of the island close to the Hotel. The daily parking fee is around 5000 HUF, but the parking area is pretty crowded.

Dining
Coffee break (in the Foreground of Star room): a portion coffee / tea / soft drink / mineral water (0,25 / 0,33 l ) + salt/sweet biscuits and seasonal fruits (sliced).
Buffet lunch (in Magnolia Restaurant): various food will be served, you pick what you want, drink available on the round dining table (1 drink per person is included)
Fábos Award Ceremony with Dinner has 3 courses:
1. Potato soup with sour cream and salmon stripes
2. Rosemary duck leg with parsley potato and steamed cabbage
3. Panna Cotta with forest fruits sauce
There were 6 persons who asked for vegetarian or vegan food (the hotel can serve you):
1. Mushroom Cream Soup with Almond Crisps
2. Grilled Paprika filled with Cous-cous Ragout and roast Nut Potato
3. Orange-Chocolate Cake
Field study trips:
Bag lunch (packed lunch) of sandwiches, a few salt/sweet biscuits, and water (2*0,5 liter) will be available for you before you enter the bus or you start walking. Please arrive in time, and pick your selection!
