I pursued an academic research career up to being a postdoctoral research associate. My research is in pure mathematics, primarily in algebraic number theory and related areas in abstract algebra. This includes Galois module structure of rings of integers, methods from representation theory, the non-abelian Brumer–Stark conjecture and related conjectures, Hopf–Galois theory and skew braces.
I've been awarded the PhD publication price for the best maths research publication resulting from a PhD work within the University of Exeter.
I currently have four academic publications, plus one currently under review.

I teach maths privately: A-level, GCSE, University. I'm part of established tutoring companies such as Greenhouse Learning, Home-school Tutoring, Sherpa. I can provide CV and enhanced DBS check upon request. Contact fabioferri94@gmail.com
"Fabio helped our son with an aim to move to a higher Maths set. Fabio is a very polite, helpful, reliable tutor. He was very patient with our son and explain in a way that my son could understand. Even his Maths teacher in school noticed an improvement"
"Our 17 year old son studies Maths and further Maths at 6th form. To achieve as good grades as possible, with the view to gain a university place of choice, he wanted to try tutoring sessions, in further Maths. He has now recieved tutoring for about 6 months, weekly, and his self confidence and test results have both improved, Fabio is clearly skilled at teaching and is flexible around the student's learning requirements and explains in ways our son understands. Fabio is also flexible with timings, which is helpful for busy families. We will continue with the sessions all the way to to the final exams, it is exactly the additional support our son needs. We would like to recommend Fabio for maths and further maths tutoring."
