Exodus 12

Exodus 12:27 You shall say, It is the passover sacrifice to Jehovah, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt when He smote the Egyptians and delivered our houses. And the people bowed and worshipped. 

1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened; for our Passover, Christ, also has been sacrificed


Exodus 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a year-old male; you may take it from the sheep or from the goats. 

John 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! 

1 Peter 1:19 But with precious blood, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot, the blood of Christ. 

John 18:38 Pilate said to Him, What is truth? And having said this, he again went out to the Jews and said to them, I find no fault in Him. (cf. 19:4, 6)


Exodus 12:7 And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses in which they eat it. 

Hebrews 9:14 How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 

1 Peter 1:18-19 Knowing that it was not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, that you were redeemed from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers, 19 But with precious blood, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot, the blood of Christ


Exodus 12:8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roasted with fire, and they shall eat it with unleavened bread with bitter herbs. 

Luke 22:11, 15 And you shall say to the master of the house, The Teacher says to you, Where is the guest room where I may eat the passover with My disciples? 15 And He said to them, With desire, I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer. 

John 6:57 As the living Father has sent Me and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also shall live because of Me.  


Exodus 12:14-15 And this day will be a memorial to you, and you shall keep it as a feast to Jehovah; throughout your generations as a perpetual statute you shall keep it as a feast. 15 Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread; on the first day you shall remove leaven out of your houses, for whoever eats anything leavened from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel. (cf. 13:7)

1 Corinthians 5:6b-8 Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7 Purge out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened; for our Passover, Christ, also has been sacrificed. 8 So then let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth


Hebrews 12:1 Therefore let us also, having so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, put away every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us and run with endurance the race which is set before us. 


Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life has freed me in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and of death. (cf. Rom. 10:12-13)
