The Shivadh Romances

The Shivadh romances are Sam's series of interlocking romance novels featuring the residents of the fictional Askazer-Shivadlakia, a small country sandwiched between France and Italy on the coast of the Ligurian Sea. "The Ask" has a balmy microclimate, an irreverent sense of humor, and Europe's only Jewish royal family, with a new gay king recently elected to the throne. Join the palace, their friends and partners, the residents of capital city Fons-Askaz, and even a few foreign friends (from over the one highland) as they navigate life in The Little Country By The Sea.

The Shivadh novels are predominantly queer and feature a cast that includes several neurodiverse lead and supporting characters. They do not feature graphic sex, except for one short story in Dinner At The Palace.

Latest Release: The Chicken Salad War

Simon LeFevre, chef to the royal family, has plenty to keep him busy -- aside from feeding everyone, he’s on the planning committee for the Reclamation Day Festival. Unfortunately he’s been partnered with the city’s newest chef, Mr. Ylias Lazaar, with whom he does not get along.

Ylias, happy to be home where a woman with male honorifics isn't especially unusual, is excited to be opening her own restaurant and enjoys prodding Simon a little. When she claims she could improve on Simon's curried chicken salad, they decide they’ll enter the Reclamation Day cooking competition, and may the best man win.

But it's becoming evident to both of them that a casual relationship based on bickering could perhaps be more. Now if only they could get on the same page as to what "more" might mean.
