The Oregon's Wallowa County Chamber of Commerce say's that "Bigfoot is back in the area, just in time to spy on Elginβs celebration of the legend. Ride the train and join in the fun. This trip is perfect for families or people who want to experience a train ride and still pack a lot into their day. We travel along the Grande Ronde River, passing the historic Palmer Junction mill site, then return to Elgin. About 26 miles, round trip. Departs Elgin Depot at 10 a.m. / returns at about 12:30 p.m.; a snack and beverage are included with your ticket."

"The Music Alliance celebrates 21 years of bringing the Courthouse Concert Series to the lawn of the Wallowa County Courthouse (101 S River St, Enterprise, OR 97828). Every Thursday afternoon, 5:30pm β 7:00pm, beginning in June, the community gathers to enjoy free ninety-minute performances by local and regional musicians. The concert series features a broad range of musical genres, including classical, folk, jazz, and rock, FREE and open to the public. A perfect opportunity to pack a picnic, bring family, meet up with friends and enjoy the music! Thanks to the Oregon Community Foundation, Wild Carrot Herbals,Β Wallowa County Board of Commissioners, Wallowa County Cultural Trust Coalition and the City of Enterprise for support of this program.

From Β August 10-14, 2026, young writers ages 9-13 will embark on a literary adventure at Fishtrap in Enterprise, Oregon. There, theyβll explore creative writing and storytelling in a weeklong workshop designed to help them to express whatβs inside, learn to listen to the stories of others and connect with a community of storytellers.
