Every fall term EPLA hosts a High School Night where representatives of the areas top high schools speak with our 8th graders on their programs and admissions criteria.

To begin their exposure to college life at EPLA, our 6th grade scholars take a trip to the University of Texas at El Paso for a college tour and a behind-the-scenes look at one of their prestigious programs including the College of Engineering, College of Health Sciences, and School of Nursing.

Our 7th grade scholars take a day-trip up I-10 to visit New Mexico State University. Their experience includes a campus tour and visiting the Animal Sciences Department to learn about this program unique to the NMSU campus.

Our 8th grade scholars enjoy a wonderful two-day trip! Every year we choose a new destination so scholars experience college-life outside of the borderland.

Previous universities have included the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, St. John's College, and Western New Mexico State University.
