Understanding Dyscalculia
Awareness, Screening and Support
At explainIT NZ, we believe that building confidence in mathematics starts with understanding how people learn. Our practical, engaging workshops are designed for educators, schools, tertiary providers, workplaces, and learning support organisations who want to better support learners with dyscalculia, maths anxiety, and other numeracy learning differences.
Our workshops combine current research with practical strategies that participants can apply immediately. Whether you're looking to understand dyscalculia, explore inclusive teaching approaches, use DysCalculator and Numbers Explorer effectively, or strengthen numeracy teaching across your organisation, we can tailor a workshop to meet your needs.
Sessions can be delivered online or in person, ranging from short presentations and webinars to professional learning workshops. Every workshop is interactive, evidence-informed, and focused on improving outcomes for learners.
If you're interested in a workshop for your team or organisation, please get in touch. We'd be happy to discuss your requirements and design a session that meets your goals.
