Attendance: Attendance will be taken every day. Students should communicate any absence with the teacher and through the office. If tardiness and absent days are persistent, the student's grade will be effected due to a lack of participation and completion of in-class activities.
Grading: Every assignment that is posted to Google Classroom will be graded. There are 4 categories for grades: Inquiry Activities, Participation, Discussions, and Skill Enrichment. All grades will be finalized in Infinite Campus. Not all grades will be posted in Google Classroom. Please check IC often for grade updates.
Participation - General activities and behavior. Some activities will just be graded for completion since we will review in class.
Unit Concepts - Activities on Discovery Education or formative assessments/quizzes.
Inquiry Activities - Activities that use higher level analytical skills to have you thinking like a historian - usually requires research or supporting your thoughts with evidence.
Skills Enrichment - Activities such as vocabulary review or assignments that requires basis educational skills to complete! Notes will be included in this.
Missing Work: Students who do not turn in work or do not complete it by the due date will receive a "M" Missing in Infinite Campus. Students must complete the Missing Work Form in order to receive credit for any completed late/missing work. This form can be found on the student's Google Classroom.
