Seventh grade social studies covers the Arizona state standards throughout a curriculum focusing on world history from the Scientific Revolution through Imperialism and on to contemporary global challenges in the modern era.
The units we will focus on are:
Unit 1: Social Studies Skills
Unit 2: Scientific Revolution/ Enlightenment
Unit 3: Political Revolution/ Industrial Revolution
Unit 4: Global Imperialism and Conquests
Unit 5: World War I
Unit 6: Global Depressions and Political Upheaval
Unit 7: World War II
Unit 8: Cold War
Unit 9: Global Conflicts and Challenges
Students will need the following ALL YEAR LONG:
Composition Notebook for Social Studies ONLY (college ruled preferred)
Two Pocket Folder (for S.S. ONLY)
Glue/Tape for papers in our notebooks
Scissors
Highlighters (two colors)
Pencils to last the whole year
Blue/Black Pens
School issued computer
