Want to spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time on what actually matters? This hands-on workshop will show you how to use tools like ChatGPT , Microsoft’s Copilot and Google’s NotebookLM to work smarter and quicker with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Whether it’s tidying up or analysing data, writing emails or reports, sparking new ideas or researching across multiple documents and videos, this workshop will show you practical ways to save time and boost your day-to-day productivity while improving your skills in Microsoft 365.
This is an intermediate level workshop and while participants do not need any AI Chatbot experience, they should be users of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Participants with a Copilot subscription would also benefit from attending.
What you’ll need:
Microsoft 365 installed on an internet-ready laptop
Optional: A Copilot subscription for Microsoft 365
Free version of ChatGPT
Free version of Microsoft Copilot in the Edge browser
Google’s NotebookLM (free with a Gmail account)
Optional: any other AI Chatbot (for comparison)
Attendees are welcome to bring any of their own documents, emails, spreadsheets to practice on.

Generate and learn formula and functions
Analyse and clean-up data
Examples: Writing and explaining formula and functions, analysing data, automating and simplifying by applying tables, conditional formatting, data validation rules, and “cleaning” data.
Draft content
Edit, and refine text, generate content ideas and outlines
Search and analyse multiple documents and videos
Examples: Draft: reports, templates, policies, adverts, web page, policies, blog posts; Generate: mindmaps, cheat sheets, FAQ; Create: a library of documents to interrogate.
Draft quick, professional email replies
Integrate email and calendar
Summarise long email threads and edit and improve email drafts
Examples: Create: draft emails based on specific data in a particular tone and length, Create “template” emails to use in automated replies, Edit: draft emails to check for tone, style, natural language etc.
Detailed summary notes, and prompt examples will be provided for attendees to use on their own data.
