Ways to Travel to Schiedam

You will find the EVS-hotel next to highway A20, exit 10 (Schiedam Noord). Parking is available for free on the premises. 

By Car:

• With a navigation system:
  Simply enter the following address in the Netherlands:
  Hargalaan 6, 3118 JA Schiedam

• Without a navigation system:
  Set Rotterdam as your destination. When driving from the south on the A20/E25, follow the signs for Schiedam/Hoek van Holland. Take exit 10 (Schiedam Noord). At the end of the exit, turn right. At the next intersection, turn right again onto Hargalaan. At the roundabout, take the first exit. You have now reached your destination.

• Travelling on the A4 (direction Amsterdam):
  Take exit 10 (Schiedam Noord). On your right-hand side you will see the Van der Valk Hotel.

By Train (NS*):
Buy a NS ticket to Schiedam Centrum railway station (NS Intercity train). From there, continue by RET Metro line B in the direction of Hoek van Holland. You can check in with your debit or credit card (VISA or Mastercard). Get off at the next station, Schiedam Nieuwland. Don’t forget to check out. From there it is about a 15-minute walk to the Van der Valk Hotel, Hargalaan 6, Schiedam. Click here for the walking route.

By Plane:
Schiphol Amsterdam is the main airport in the Netherlands. The best way to travel from Schiphol to Schiedam is by train. You will find the train to Schiedam Centrum underneath the airport central hall. 

You can buy your ticket at the yellow ticket machines in the airport central hall or simply check in with your debit or credit card before entering the platform. Since Schiedam is close to Rotterdam, choose a train in that direction. Get off at Schiedam Centrum, then continue by RET Metro line B towards Hoek van Holland. Check in again with your debit or credit card if needed. Get off at the next station, Schiedam Nieuwland, and don’t forget to check out. From there, it’s a 15-minute walk to the Van der Valk Hotel, Hargalaan 6, Schiedam.

• Group travel discount:
  If you are traveling as a group, it is possible to get a group discount during off-peak hours (09:00 – 16:00) for up to 7 people. For 7 travelers, the discount is approximately €50.

Other Airports:
From Rotterdam The Hague Airport the Van der Valk Hotel is easily accessible by public transport. From the airport you take bus 33 to Metro station Meijersplein. Take RET Metro line E (towards Slinge) to the underground station Beurs. Change Metro to continue by Metro line B towards Hoek van Holland. Get off at station Schiedam Nieuwland, and don’t forget to check out. From there, it’s a 15-minute walk to the Van der Valk Hotel, Hargalaan 6, Schiedam.
