EVS 2026 in Schiedam was fantastic!
New faces, old friends, the family-like atmosphere, the energy, the enthusiasm, the fun and the enjoyment – it was all there. The spirit of the EVS was truly palpable throughout the weekend; so special, so unique.
Together, we made sure that this EVS weekend, too, became unforgettable!
The flag has been lowered and handed over from the Netherlands to EVS-HQ, officially bringing EVS 2026 to a close and marking the end of this 35th edition.
On behalf of Team NL, all our wonderful volunteers and Statistics Netherlands, we would like to thank you all warmly for coming, for being here with us, and for your joy and enthusiasm. It was a pleasure to welcome you to Schiedam; we hope the many memories of this EVS will stay with you for a long time to come.
We’ll say goodbye for now and look forward to a new EVS-adventure and the next edition of the EVS.

Dear EVS Friends,
After an exciting tournament in the enchanting Finnish woodlands and thousand lakes, we welcome you all to the land below sea level – The Netherlands, or as we say when it comes to sport – “Holland”.
We are delighted to announce that EVS 2026 event will take place in the charming city of Schiedam, a 750-year-old city just west of Rotterdam. Known for its iconic windmills, which happen to be the tallest in the world, Schiedam is a city where tradition meets innovation. With its rich culture and vibrant atmosphere, this is sure to be a memorable destination.
Come join us for another unforgettable weekend with the EVS family, where you’ll enjoy thrilling volleyball matches, reconnect with old friends, and make new ones. We can’t wait to see you all in Schiedam from September 4-6, 2026!
