SOCIAL MEDIA IMPACT 

Project Information:

For this project, I learned about the most popular used social media sites based on age groups and also learned different people perspectives on the influence of social media.

Social Media Addiction survey : According to "Am I addicted to social media" Quiz " Psychologists estimate that as many as 5 to 10 % of Americans meet the criteria for social media addiction today. But luckily, thats not you! Not checking social medica every few minutes doesnt make you feel anxious, as you prefer to live in the moment rather than through your apps. You use social media to your advantage, at work, and to connect with friends and family, but you know when to put it away. Keep it up" Per the Quiz, I have a healthy relationship with social media 😁. Reflecting on my results I agree because I am not consistently browsing my social media page.

SOCIAL MEDIA IMPACT ON SOCIETY:

I feel I am neutral when it comes to the impact social media have on society.  One side of me feels social media is great for society because it gives everyone around the world to share information (credible news) that is not being shown on big networks such as CNN or local news station. But this being said ,this can also be the negative side of social media. I feel sometimes you have individuals who spread false information to the public and with the society with live in today everyone does not go that extra mile to see if the source of information is credible/true, so when this happens false information will continue to spread from one page/ platform to another.

Lessons Learned:  During this assignment I have learned the difference between digital media and traditional media. I have learned there are different medica types such as Text, graphics, audio, animation, and video. I have learned depending on the pixel height and width this could change your  video from HD to SD. I learned that encoding decreases the size of our video.
