The lab successfully proposed two polyneopteran species (Embia thyrrenica and Ameles spallanzani) for long-reads & long-range genome sequencing to the ERGA consortium!

Jacopo moved to Bonn to join again the Alexander Suh lab at the Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change as a visiting PhD student. Still working on oyster SVs and heterozygosity!

Antonio successfully defended his BSc thesis (Bachelor degree in "Genomics") about the evolution of LINEs RTE-BovB transposons in giant african snails. Congrats and may the networks always be with you!
Giuseppe (ex MSc student in the lab) got a PhD at "Sapienza Università di Roma" with an amazing project about "Whole-Genome approaches to investigate anthropogenic hybridization with domestic dogs in European wolf (Canis lupus) populations and possible effects on their life-history traits" supervised by professor Paolo Ciucci. Congratulations and good luck!
