Evolution is an unavoidable consequence of the intrinsic features of our Universe. Everything changes. Biological evolution shapes the history of life, and the best way to understand biodiversity is by studying evolutionary changes in a comparative framework.

Our Group studies evolution at the molecular, genomic, and developmental level by integrating multiple methodological approaches, using state-of-the-art techniques, and exploiting different animal models.

For a large number of problems there will be some animal of choice or a few such animals on which it can be most conveniently studied
