EVERY CHILD ADVOCACY FOUNDATION
ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
The Every Child Advocacy Foundation is in the process of becoming a tax exempt nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
It was founded to address the systemic inequities, barriers, and gaps that families of children with disabilities face every day. Rooted in both professional expertise and lived experience, the Foundation exists to expand access to trauma-informed advocacy, inclusive community programs, systemic reform, and educational equity.
The Foundation works to:
Ensure all families—regardless of income—can access high-quality advocacy and support
Provide trauma-informed, individualized guidance to children and families in crisis
Develop inclusive community programs, trainings, and resources that promote belonging and accessibility
Educate schools, professionals, and community organizations on disability inclusion and best practices
Empower parents and caregivers through workshops, coaching, and rights-based education
Advocate for systemic and legislative reforms that protect vulnerable populations and improve equitable access to services
Partner with schools, agencies, and community organizations to strengthen inclusive, evidence-based practices
Oversee the mission-aligned activities of Every Child Advocating & Consulting LLC, which operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of the nonprofit
The Foundation also serves as the sole owner of Every Child Advocating & Consulting LLC, ensuring that all activities of the LLC directly support, uplift, and fund the nonprofit’s mission.
We envision a world where every child is valued, every family is supported, and every system is equitable, inclusive, and accountable.
Our mission is to ensure that individuals with disabilities—across all ages, from birth through adulthood—have equitable access to education, safety, inclusion, and meaningful opportunities. We empower families and caregivers, educate communities, and advance systemic change. Through trauma-informed, evidence-based advocacy, crisis support, and community programs, we remove barriers, strengthen rights and protections, and promote inclusive practices and policies that safeguard the most vulnerable at every stage of life.
We envision a world where individuals with disabilities—and their families—no longer have to fight for equality, access, or the services they are legally entitled to. Instead, we imagine a society that embraces the responsibility to advocate for them—one where communities instinctively design spaces, programs, workplaces, and systems with inclusion at the forefront.
We envision schools and public systems built to support every learner, workplaces that readily adapt to meet individual needs, and communities where accessibility is standard rather than an exception. A world where individualized supports are easy to find and navigate, where sensory needs and accommodations are anticipated, and where every playground, event, and public space is intentionally created for all.
We envision a future where people are not pressured to “fit in,” but where society adapts to include everyone. A future where we focus less on differences and more on shared humanity—where strengths are recognized, contributions are valued, and every person has the opportunity to thrive in whatever environment, role, or community they choose.
Above all, we envision a world transformed by a collective commitment to equity—one where our organization plays a leading role in a nationwide movement that elevates quality of life, strengthens families and communities, and ensures that inclusion is not an afterthought, but a foundational value.
Our work is grounded in the belief that every individual—regardless of disability, age, or complexity of need—is deserving of dignity, respect, and meaningful opportunity. We value equity over convenience, inclusion over accommodation, and human potential over preconceived limits. We honor lived experience and recognize families as experts in their own journey. We affirm that behavior is communication, that trauma-informed practice is essential, and that every child and adult learns best when they feel safe, supported, and understood.
We believe that systems must be redesigned to serve people, not the other way around. We value collaboration, transparency, and accountability across schools, agencies, and communities. We commit to lifelong learning, evidence-based practice, and advocacy that is grounded in both compassion and courage. Above all, we value the inherent worth of every person and work tirelessly to build a world where they are included, seen, heard, and celebrated.
1. Equity and Access
We believe every individual with a disability deserves equitable access to education, services, opportunities, and community life—without barriers, gatekeeping, or discrimination.
2. Inclusion as the Standard
We work to ensure that inclusion is proactively designed into schools, systems, workplaces, and communities—not treated as an afterthought or an exception.
3. Trauma-Informed, Evidence-Based Practice
We use approaches rooted in research, neuroscience, and compassion, recognizing that emotional safety is foundational to learning and growth.
4. Family Empowerment
We believe families should never have to fight alone. We empower parents and caregivers with knowledge, advocacy tools, and support to navigate complex systems confidently and effectively.
5. Systemic Change and Accountability
We work to transform policies, practices, and public systems so that individuals with disabilities receive the services, respect, and protections they are entitled to under the law.
6. Strength-Based Collaboration
We value the strengths, interests, and abilities of every person. We collaborate with professionals, communities, and families to build supports that highlight and build upon those strengths.
7. Dignity, Humanity, and Belonging
We believe every person deserves to be spoken to directly, treated with respect, included fully, and given opportunities to contribute, participate, and belong.
