I conducted original microbiology research throughout 2025 and 2026 at the Midland College microbiology lab. I developed this research idea during the summer as a continuation of a previous experiment. This project investigates the effects of glyphosate (the active ingredient in herbicides such as Roundup) on colon cancer-associated bacteria from the gut microbiome. This research encompassed both in lab experimentation and a computational simulation using COPASI.
