A study on strategies for building a learning data ecosystem in public education
Starting in 2025, the nationwide adoption of AI-powered digital textbooks is expected to significantly increase the volume of learning data. However, research on systematically collecting, storing, managing, analyzing, and utilizing this data remains insufficient. This study aims to establish national standards for learning data, design a public education learning data ecosystem, and identify its key components. Additionally, it seeks to examine major issues surrounding learning data and propose concrete strategies for effective data analysis and utilization at the national level. Furthermore, the research will focus on establishing the educational, technological, and institutional foundations necessary for building a sustainable learning data ecosystem.
Supporting Project for Enhancing Research Capabilities of Pre-service Teachers
The primary goal of this study is to explore effective strategies for developing research competencies among pre-service teachers in teacher education programs. By doing so, the study aims to cultivate educators with the expertise needed to adapt to the evolving educational landscape. To achieve this, the study will conduct a needs analysis, review previous research, and examine case studies related to research competency development.
This study will first conduct a needs analysis to identify pre-service teachers' perceptions of research competencies and the limitations of current teacher education programs. Next, a review of existing studies will systematically examine key research skills required in education and effective methodologies for their development. Finally, case studies of independent research conducted by undergraduate students will be analyzed to validate and refine practical strategies for fostering research competencies in teacher education.
Development of a Life-Planning Support System
This study aims to develop a large-scale language model-based chatbot that supports university students' physical health management, resembling a human trainer or coach in terms of image, conversation, and expression—accessible anytime and anywhere. To achieve this, various case studies will be examined, user needs will be analyzed, and expert interviews will be conducted. Based on these findings, the study seeks to develop a physical health management chatbot specifically for undergraduate students at Seoul National University.
First, user requirements for a life-planning support chatbot will be investigated, along with expert interviews. Second, a chatbot for health management support will be developed for undergraduate students at Seoul National University.
Generative AI For Teaching (GIFT): A Lecture Support Program
This study aims to develop an AI-enhanced teaching competency program tailored for doctoral students at Seoul National University who are preparing for careers as university professors. Based on needs analysis and literature review, the program will focus on the educational applications of AI in higher education, covering fundamental principles of teaching and learning, AI concepts, real-world applications, and instructional design strategies for AI integration. The expected outcomes include a comprehensive program overview, a detailed curriculum, and instructional manuals for administrators, instructors, and learners. Additionally, a pilot implementation will be conducted to analyze the program's effectiveness and refine its design.
