Seonmin EUN

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Educational Technology at Seoul National University, South Korea.

My research interests include Learning sciences, learning analytics, AI in Education (AIED) and HCI (Human-AI Interaction/Collaboration).

I majored in English education and interested in various aspects of AI-assisted English education, including reading comprehension problem-solving and changes of English teacher identity.

Goal

In a traditional one-to-many classroom setting, it is challenging to implement personalized learning for each student. This is because it is practically difficult for teachers or instructors to consider the individual levels and circumstances of all students.

However, by leveraging artificial intelligence, educators can receive supplementary support in lesson design, enabling personalized education for each learner. This, in turn, can have a direct positive impact on learners' achievement, motivation, and interest. I aim to research the design of systematic and effective AI-assisted learning environments based on scientific data.

" Those who are content with wealth, status, and preconceived notions can never see the truth.  Only those who are unsatisfied with such things—who seek, question, and observe—can discover the truth. "
