BEAUNE
This place is a UNESCO heritage site.
In Beaune we visited L'hospice de Beaune. It was a  charitable house for poor people founded by Nicolas Rolin in 1443. There we played a scavenger game around the entire hospice with our French correspondentst. The first group to get  all the answers won. After that, we went to eat together in a park that was near the hospice. We had a great time!
LES CLIMATS
In Burgundy , a  climat is the name for a small, specific piece of land where they grow a variety of grapes: vineyard. Each climat is unique because they all are different from each other in microclimate, geography, soil and type of grapes. The climats are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015.
Not being able to take part in a wine testing because we are minors, the teachers at Collège Jean Rostand  prepared something similar with flavoured water and smelling sensory bottles that had different smells. The first activity was to understand the Burgundy climates. Then they taught us to differentiate the flavours and in which part of the tongue they were distinguished. The third activity was about distinguishing different smells with our nose. And finally they taught us to use our sense of taste and smell together.
DIJON
The French History teacher took us and a group of French students to Dijon to visit the Cathedral of Saint Bénigne, where we visited the cript that contains the sarcophagus of Saint Bénigne. We also visited the Church of Notre Dame. Our French partners help us with the scavenger hunt that the teacher had prepared - everybody got a little suprise when the visit was over!
To discover the historical part of Dijon, we followed the owl trail with its many stops. The first stop was at Darcy Gardens. Darcy was the man who brought fresh water to Dijon. Later we went to the "Grand Hôtel de la Cloche", it was called like this because the hotel has the symbol of the bell. Then we visited "Porte Guillaume",  it was the ancient entrance to the city. We visited "Hôtel Vogüé", too. But it is not a real hotel, they give the name "hôtels particuliers" to the houses where rich people lived. After that,  we went to the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy. Now it is a museum of art and the City Hall. Finally, we visited the "Tour Philippe le Bon": it is 46 metres high and has 316 steps. It was very interesting!

ÉVORA
This town is a UNESCO heritage site.
In Évora we visited many very interesting and beautiful places.
We visited the Capela de Ossos, it is a very interesting place because there are at least 5,000 corpses here to decorate the walls, which makes it a very curious and disturbing visit. One day we went for a walk through Praça do Giraldo, it is an open square with shops and the landscape of the square was impressive.
Obviously we visited the ancient Roman temple, the Temple of Diana. This place is the most famous in Évora. It is wonderful and very well cared for. The Igreja de Sao Francisco (where the chapel is located) is very bright, spacious and its ceilings are very high. We also toured the Évora Cathedral, the views of the city were beautiful!
To sum it all up, Évora is a beautiful city that you should visit!
TORRE DE BELÉM
The Belém Tower is a work by Francisco de Arruda and Diogo de Boitaca that had great importance in the Age of Discoveries in Europe. It is located in Lisbon and is a very large and interesting place with a beautiful landscape, the views are impressive.

To begin with it, is important to clarify that none of the sites we visited are UNESCO heritage sites.
HERAKLION
We were in the Venetian Port of Heraklion. The beach was so beautiful, no sand but beautiful rocks. Also, we saw a cat sleeping on the beach and we all fell in love! We saw the sunset, this was really pretty, too.
KNOSSOS
Here, we were visiting the Minoan ruins. It´s an amazing palace from the Minoan civilization. Also, we were very lucky because we had a tour guide that spoke Spanish. She told us a lot of interesting information about this extraordinary civilization of the past. We saw the throne room and the queen and king`s bedrooms. What`s more, in the middle of the palace there is an extraordinary big courtyard, where Minoan people celebrated sport events with bulls and sacred rites.
ARCHANES
We were living in this little town, where you can see a lot of colorful streets, with flowers that give happiness to the town. In Archanes, there is a museum that you can visist for free, a lot of restaurants and places to have dinner and a square when you can meet your friends and have a good time. If you like to practise sports, there is a football pitch and a sports pavilion in the suburbs of the city. There are some places to do the shopping, like supermarkets or food shops. Definitely, Archanes is a great place to live.
