Prehistoric Pack is a video game where players build teams of dinosaurs using cards that are drawn and opened from card packs. Using these cards, they send their teams out to fight against the opposing enemies until the game is won. Players can also upgrade dinosaurs with a variety of Marks, and find different variations via rarity and flair. All this makes for a unique experience each run.
Ethan joined the Prehistoric Pack team in January of 2026, working with them until May. His main task was to bring the cards and packs from the game to the real world, and have them ready for giveaway at a variety of events. With the final project having this realized, players not only had the in-game experiences stick with them, but also physical products to keep and remember Prehistoric Pack by.
Ethan led the card creation process, coordinating with the team's artists, graphic designers, and dinosaur experts to tweak the in-game designs for physical media. This included finding the right margins for borders, and replacing the card effects with dinosaur fun facts.
In addition, each pack came with a promotional card, advertising the game's upcoming Steam release and Discord.
With the cooperation of Champlain College's Makerspace, Ethan not only sealed the cards in authentic foils, but get Prehistoric Pack's in-game dinosaur imagery on the front-- bringing the in-game experience to life. There are five cards in each set, with four random dinosaurs and one promotional card.
