This section highlights the service competencies and continuing education activities I have completed as part of my journey in the OTA program. These experiences have expanded my knowledge, improved my hands-on skills, and deepened my understanding of professional practice.
Service Competencies Completed:
Vital Signs (Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, Respiration Rate, Temperature, O2 Sat)
Transfer Techniques (Sit-to-stand, sliding board, dependent transfers)
ROM and MMT assessments
Use of assistive devices (gait belt, walker, cane)
Wheelchair safety and mobility
Continuing Education & Workshops:
Over 15 hours of CE on MedBridge
Completed in-class training on Manual Muscle Testing and Goniometry
Participated in OTA/PTA Collaboration Day (Spring 2025)
