The Success

How Success Impacts the Organization

The development of the Upwards App is puts the employees first - information is broken down into small bite sized pieces, employees can schedule their own training sessions in a month, built in dictionary function, and a variety of assessment activities to choose from. Inclusivity is the hottest topic of every organization. From a training standpoint, organizations have to recognize that every employee learns and needs to be assessed differently. By having a variety of assessment activities for employees to choose from, allows them to be assessed in a method that they are most comfortable with. In face-to-face training sessions, there is usually only one assessment method; however, having assessment activities on the Upwards App will allow for a wider variety (Mehdipour & Zerehkafi, 2013).

The success of employees is the success of the organization. Ai-Omari, Alomari, & Alijawarneh stated that having successful staff training directly influences organizational performance (2020). to beAs Employees work for the organization, so if the employee wins, the organization also wins. To ensure that the organization has employees' buy-in to change, management has to share the larger vision and purpose of using the Upwards App and explain why the training procedures are going to change (Chester, 2021). To manage this change, the team of employees should work together to set goals on when they want to see the whole team gets trained on using this application. Sufficient training on how to use this application is crucial to the success of implementing this change (Chester, 2021).

In order to empower employees to adapt to using the Upwards App for training, they have to see the vision and purpose behind implementing this change (Chester, 2021). Allowing employees to know the reason why they are completing monthly training, will provide them with context for change. Employees' accountability is also important to maintain the success of using this application (Chester, 2021). This application allows employees to set their own due date to complete monthly training modules. The manager can also see if employees are falling behind and follow up conversations can occur. To reward employees for following through with their goals and completing the monthly training, badges will be awarded through the application. A sense of community and team sprit will develop with the use of Upwards App and the Incentive System. Collectively, the team brainstorms of possible rewards throughout the year and the organization will reward the team with a pay raise in the following year if everyone earns 100% of their badges.
