Step-by-step guide
Collect at least 8-12 images that relate to your theme. These can include:
Photographs (yours or copyright-free images)
Illustrations or symbols
Textures and backgrounds
Words or phrases (fonts can enhance meaning)
Remember: use copyright free images
Use Public domain image sites (e.g., Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay), your own photos, or artwork
You are not limited to using just Photopea. Below I provided other alternatives that are more user-friendly to use if you are having issues with Photopea.
Some examples are:
Composition: Arrange images thoughtfully (e.g., balanced, symmetrical, or asymmetrical).
Layering: Use layers to add depth and visual interest.
Color Scheme: Choose colors that support your theme or concept.
Unity and Cohesion: Ensure the images connect well visually and conceptually.
In groups of 3, discuss your collages and provide suggestions based on the following questions:
Does it clearly communicate your theme?
Are the images and text arranged thoughtfully?
Make edits to improve clarity, balance, and impact.
