As students in ETEC 565 - Ableism, Equity, and Educational Technology course, we came together with a shared goal to develop a plan for an accessible school/workplace that is built around the principle of "Nothing about us, without us", specifically exploring how technology can be leveraged to create more inclusive and accessible spaces for autistic students.
Our team's educational expertise is vast, but we are united in our advocacy for the autistic community. This collaborative effort provided opportunities to share our own unique perspectives, experiences, and expertise, enriching our collective understanding and strengthening our work.
By leveraging Google Sites for organization, Google Docs for real-time collaboration and WhatsApp for instant communication across different time zones, we maintained a seamless and efficient workflow. This consistent and open communication enabled us to share ideas, address challenges proactively, and foster a supportive, collaborative team dynamic in our virtual learning environment.
