Getting involved is a great way to bond with your students, make new friends, and give back to our Eagle community.
You can spend as much or as little time as available to you. Every amount of help is greatly appreciated by the Eagle community.
Below are ways that you can get involved. Check back often for signups and new events.

Coordinate with teachers to schedule class garden sessions, work with students in our garden OR assist in finding volunteers to help in the garden. (Virtual and in-person, 1 hour a month)
Committees
Organize the 5th Grade Promotion ceremony at the end of the school year
Serve on a committee to help increase Diveristy, Equity and Inclusion and the PTA. Committee will meet monthly in person
Coordinate monthly food, snacks, and special treats for our staff during the school year. Help coordinate teacher appreciation week in May. (Virtual and in-person, 30 minutes a month)
Meets regularly with treasurer to audit PTA financial paperwork
Ongoing
Organize and promote the sale of school merchandise such as t-shirts. Assist with sales at school events. (Virtual and in-person, 1 hour a month)
Using grant money, work with school administration to cultivate and coordinate the arts productions at Estes Hills. (Mostly virtual, 2-3 hours a semester)
Assist the PTA with converting English documents to a Spanish version and at PTA meetings. (Virtual, 1 hour a month)
Help carry out grounds beautification tasks at school. (In-person, 1 hour a month)
Organize 2-3 restaurant fundraising nights for Eagle families to attend (fall, winter and spring)
Take pictures at school events, in the classrooms, and field trips (in person 1 hr a month)
Assist staff and the PTA in writing grants for our school
FALL
Contact families periodically to answer questions, and help them feel welcome at Estes Hills.
(Virtual and in-person, 1 hour a month in August and September)
Collect data and create the online school directory (Virtual, 2 hours in September and October)
Organize and spread the word about our largest fundraiser of the year. This is our main source of revenue that goes to funding school events as well as fun things for the classrooms.
Winter
Work with Estes Hills staff to promote and handle donations for our school in November and December.
Quarterly organize all items in the lost and found to be collected or located.
Organize the early spring school wide reading motivation event. This usually starts in mid-February and concludes in early April.
Be a part of a committee to help orchestrate this event. (Virtual and in-person, 1-2 hours in December)
Spring
Help with the Public School Foundation sponsored 5K race in the Spring. Set up a school booth on the day of the race. (Mostly virtual, 2 hours in March)
Help organize and set up the annual spring Science Fair. (Virtual and in-person, 2 hours in Spring Semester)
Organize 3-5 food trucks and recreational fun for a spring picnic night. Date can be determined by commitee and Ms. McCann.
Work with the art teacher to organize the Art Reflections competition. (Mostly virtual, Spring semester about 2 hours)
Work with school librarian, Ms. Fox, to organize the reading fair. (Mostly virtual, 2 hours focused in Spring Semester)
