At Monroe Woodbury High School, there is no doubt a wonderful educational system with endless support from teachers and staff. I have met and looked up to numerous brilliant and bright students in the district. However, despite a student’s impressive resume and GPA, one component plays a big factor in the college admissions process: the SAT.

Essential Prep was created for the sole purpose of equality. It’s no secret that high school students who grow up in low income households and environments are put at severe disadvantages during the college admissions process. Those who have access to private education or costly college preparatory high schools also gain access to expensive tutors, preparatory programs, and college advisors. Essential Prep wants to address those educational inequities so that students can achieve their full potential. We believe that every student deserves an equal opportunity to learn and grow; what they choose to do with that opportunity is the student’s decision. With a group of passionate tutors and a mission for success, Essential Prep hopes to help you on your educational journey.
