Is it going to be all remote similar to how we have regular classes online?
The program will continue to be run virtually through Google Meets and Google Classroom.
Who is this run by?
It is run entirely by MWHS students. Check the “Meet the Team” tab for more information about us!
How long is each session and around what time will they start?
Classes will be run for about 1 hour, twice a week. They will start in the evening (6-7PM or 7-8PM) depending on designated classes.
Nope! All material will be provided by us. Some tests that we will go over are in the official CollegeBoard Practice SAT books/Khan Academy. It’s not necessary, but if you want to you can buy the book. Check out our “Resources” tab for more practice material.
Will a teacher be helping out as well or is it only students?
This is purely student led, no teacher/staff is helping us run this program.
Where can I find the schedule
The schedule can be found in the Google Classroom and under the “Schedule” tab on our Website.
Is this program one-on-one help or is this program a class ?
This program has split up all registered students into groups. All students will be learning in a class; additionally, we also offer extra help sessions.
How long will each study session be?
Each session will be 1-1.5 hours.
How do I get help when I am not understanding the material/lessons during practice?
We will offer one-on-one extra help once the program officially begins! Make sure to frequently check emails and the Google Classroom for information on how to sign up for those.
What resources (websites, or books) will be used primarily throughout the course?
All material will be provided as PDF files, assuming you will print them out. We will only be using official SAT tests as practice.
Will I be able to learn more about a subject even though it is my strongest?
Yes! All students will be offered two classes a week, each class focusing on Reading/Writing or Math. It’s important to keep practicing your strongest skills, you don’t want to weaken them!
Are the classes live, or pre-recorded?
All classes will be live and held on a Google Meet!
