Because our world has achieved dense mass global communications descriptions of everything that has, does or will exist are available constantly, at any location, to the whole population of the planet.
In a mass communication world people’s thoughts are only made up of the sensory output of other people.
In such a context meaning as individual interpretation no longer exists only propaganda and publicity exist as a universal palimpsest.
