Architecture as Myth
Background
The author Roland Barthes in his book Mythologies developed a definition of Myth.
"What is a myth, today? I shall give at the outset a first, very simple answer, which is perfectly consistent with etymology: myth is a type of speech."
Source: Roland Barthes. Mythologies. Page 107
"Of course, it is not any type: language needs special conditions in order to become myth: we shall see them in a minute. But what must be firmly established at the start is that myth is a system of communication, that it is a message."
Source: Roland Barthes. Mythologies. Page 107
"It can be seen that to purport to discriminate among mythical objects according to their substance would be entirely illusory: since myth is a type of speech, everything can be a myth provided it is conveyed by a discourse. Myth is not defined by the object of its message, but by the way in which it utters this message: there are formal limits to myth, there are no 'substantial' ones. Everything, then, can be a myth? Yes, I believe this, for the universe is infinitely fertile in suggestions."

Theory
If everything can be myth then the Architecture of everything is also myth.
This can be extended as a definition. Due to the constraint of the speed of light humans can only sense everything as holograms of past events and so they can only sense the Architecture as holographic myths of past events.
Architecture
Architecture is fundamentally the metrically expanding universal field of electromagnetic quantum potential in which everything and so all of the potential myths exist. Emergent then depleting waves of quantum electromagnetic interference patterns propagate out of the potential as myths.
Humans
Humans are propagating quantum electromagnetic densities in the universal field of electromagnetic potential that constantly emerge, interact, entangle and interfere with the universal electromagnetic interference patterns. Out of this interaction human communications and myths emerge.
The Speed of Light Constraint
With the universal constant speed of light taken as 300,000 km /sec light, radiation, enters a human eye, is split, and transmuted into electrochemical impulses, sent into the brain, processed, compared with previous input and then output as electrochemical impulses to increase blood flow, move muscle cells and interact with the environment to cause variations in air pressure, or make marks, signs, or symbols 300 to 700 milliseconds have passed.
For another example with objects; electromagnetic densities; outside the Earth it takes 500 seconds or 8 minutes and 20 seconds for light to reach Earth from the Sun. Humans sense the Sun as it was in the past.
Humans can only sense the past; observe past myths; not the present or the future state of the universe.
How a Hologram is Formed.
A laser light is divided into two beams.
One beam goes directly to a photographic plate.
The other reflects off an object and travels further before hitting the photographic plate. The two beams of light combine to produce a pattern on the plate that contains 3 dimensional information about the object. If the exposed and developed plate is viewed again in the same laser light a pattern is seen on the plate that is a 3 dimensional image of the original object.
The 4D Hologram of Reality
Electromagnetic radiation, light, arrives from multiple sources, is reflected off multiple sources and then enters the human eye. It is refracted from the air to the cornea, from the cornea to the lens, from the lens to the back of the retina. This multiple refraction causes the time light takes to travel to vary in each medium before they hit the back of the eye and are encoded into electrochemical energy as black and white and colour image as 3 dimensional information. The encoded multi-layer image is then stored as an electromagnetic signal in the synaptic pathways of the human brain. If the human senses the same thing in the environment the image reactivates the synaptic memory and a feedback loop is established.
The process in the eye is exactly like the process of creating and retrieving a holographic image.
The holographic information in the brain can also be enhanced by the original object being named, given analogy links, given metaphor links, given other sensory links to add to the 3 dimensional data.
Linking the holographic image processing via ganglion cells to human circadian rhythm of time and pupil reflex allows the 3 dimensional image to become a 4 dimensional construct in the human brain.
Holographic Myths.
The human sensory input, synaptic encoding, sensory prompting, sensory retrieval and sensory output can be described as holographic communications of myths of past events.
The Nature of Myths
The myths of communication can only be passed between humans as descriptions of past events and only indicated as signifiers through images.
The myths are signified as concepts.
The signifiers and signified are formed onto emergent signs.
The emergent signs are all part of a constant global human construct of myth communications that is analyzed, agreed, transcribed and translated into evolving functional forms.
The functional forms exist as abstracts in the environment.
The abstract forms age and become relics of each society's past myths, needs, functions, ideas, concepts, communications, decisions, materials, work, skill and cooperation.
All of the forms eventually deplete to be misunderstood, forgotten, and so return to myth. All of the forms; because they are descriptions of the past; impoverish the original field of potential, the original Architecture.

Architecture only as Myth
If everything can only be interacted, entangled, interfered, sensed, analyzed, examined by humans as holograms of past events then Architecture can only be interacted with and interpreted as myth.
Confirmation of Architecture as Myth
The description of Architecture as myth can be tested by examining how humans interact, entangle, interfere, sense, analyze and examine everything at the moment of interaction.
