the assignment was to make a simple electronic device to apply the weeks intro to basic electronics
Softwares: Tinkercad to simulate the circuit before phisically doing it
Materials:
Breadboard, multi meter, jumper wires, LEDs, potentiometer, Adater 6 V, LDR
Tinkercad
Tinkercad
First I googled some previous examples to help
some examples were applicable but some components in them weren't in the kit :(
Eventually I decided to make a simple piano using buzzer and potentiometer - I realised later that the online examples used 555 Timer to give different tones and the potentiometer will make a little difference in the buzz sound only but it was still fun :"D-
I had in mind that i can make every tone with different led light but realised later that the push button can't do this
piano
we need to connect several potentiometers to same buzzer each is modified with tone
one LED is connected to on/off switch in series to the all components to indicate when the circuit os on/off. and it's connected in parallel to the buzzer
another one connected to the buzzer in series that gives different light when each button is pushed
schmetic
on Tinkercad we need to start with the buzzer and potentiometers
then we have to repeat this connection each time make the potentiometer on different level
first
we connect The LEDs one to the buzzer another to the switch
all 4 connected
simulation Video
i had in mind that i was gonna be able to connect 4 diffrent LEDs but this was due to my lake of knowledge I didn;t know that this would happen
I Tried this one physically first
first
first
connect the fixed LED and test we were trying to play Blash el malama by khaled slim :"D
we connect The LEDs one to the buzzer another to the switch
Final look
I had a problem in calculation part
I can't measure the current through the LED
when i connect the multimeter as in tinker cad it doesn't light up and the reading is .06
And same problem with the buzzer though i connected the same connection on tinker cad
i will share the problem on flipgrid and might by next week finish this part
measure in tinker cad
measure in tinker cad for the buzzer
I didn't finish the calculations but through the schematic
i need to measure I1 through the White LED and I2 for the buzzer
v1=v2 as its parallel connection
I2 should be measured 4 times for each button
first
I measured the voltage for each button
this week in the lab visit to 3D print the holder one pf my peers helped through the process and when i finished my model I passed on some of the little experience to my next peer who used the machine :"D
with no previous experience to electronics it was a challenging week
through the assignment i didn't know that the push button can't work with Led and buzzer at the same time - previously mentioned- it took like 3 hours to realise the problem though it was simple logic :"D
also when searching for examples it was hard without knowing which components are in the kit and which are not - because obviously I don't know what a 555 ic timer is i was searching for its picture and trying to figure out if it was in the kit or not :"D-
i guess the final project should have circuits on it to do some functions so i think knowing theses basics was a must to go through the project
RGB LEDS MUST BE CONNECTED TO RESISTANCE -as 3 of them was ruined by me :"D-
I was so happy with the 3D printed holder it looked so cool :D
you can Name the assignment pocket Sized pin holders
Same Vibes :"D
