Morning Drop-Offs:
Our morning drop off times continue to be the same - students will not be permitted to enter school without a parent until 9am. Our staff members are engaged in a great deal of meetings in the morning, and will not be available to supervise students until 9am. If you are dropping your child off to school in the morning, please continue to wait in the area outside the Cafeteria near Ms. Erika Arias’ office (School Office Manager) until 9am.
Late Drop-Offs:
For parents who will be dropping their child off after 9:30am.
Please take your child in through the doors nearest Ms. Arias’ office (The entrance closest to Grand Ave down the ramp). For security purposes, please sign your child in with Ms. Arias at the office. This will require your signature and arrival time. Ms. Arias will then radio staff to pick up your child and take them to their classroom. If you would like to accompany your child to their classroom, it is still necessary to sign in and for Ms. Arias to contact staff regarding the student’s arrival.
In the event Ms. Arias is not in her office (absence or in a prior engagement), please go to the other Entrance and buzz in to the Main Office. At that point, you should proceed downstairs to the Main Office, where you will be asked to follow the same procedure (sign-in and staff will be contacted regarding your child’s arrival).
Early Pick-Ups:
For parents who will be picking their child up before dismissal at 2:30pm.
Please wait for your child in the area outside Ms. Arias’ office (The entrance closest to Grand Ave down the ramp). For security purposes, please sign your child in with Ms. Arias at the office. You will be required to sign in, and state what time you are signing your child out of the building. Ms. Arias will then radio staff to bring your child down to you. If you would like to pick your child up at their classroom, it is still necessary to sign in and for Ms. Arias to contact staff indicating you will be picking up your child early. In the event Ms. Arias is not in her office (absence or in a prior engagement), please go to the other Entrance and buzz in to the Main Office. At that point, you should proceed downstairs to the Main Office, where you will be asked to follow the same procedure (sign-in and staff will be contacted indicating you are picking up your child early).
These procedures are being put into place in order to increase your child’s safety, and ensure we are properly documenting what children are in the building at any given time. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me any time.
Fostering positive relationships with our students and families is a priority for the Esperanza School Staff. In an effort to keep communication open with our staff, please feel free to email staff members with concerns.
Please understand that our staff members are working with your child directly for the entire school day, and it is often difficult to take phone calls.
If you have a concern, please feel free to call the general school number at extension 113 to schedule a meeting
Please understand that we will do our best to accommodate any parents/guardians that walk-in with concerns, however, staff members may not be available.
If a parent/guardian would like to schedule a meeting with a staff member, they should contact the School Office Manager, Erika at extension 111.
