Emerson Hollar (PhD Student)
Biography: Emerson completed his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from ISU in May 2025, graduating summa cum laude. He joined as a concurrent MS student in Prof. Farzana's group in Spring 2025 and later, got enrolled in the PhD program from Fall 2025. His academic excellence at ISU has achieved President's List and Dean's List recognition. He has also established an excellent track record of mentoring and leadership, from working as student mentor for incoming electrical engineering students to teaching assistant in the ISU's capstone course, senior design. His research interests include semiconductor device fabrication, characterization, and educational pedagogy. His current research involves modeling, fabrication, and characterization of β-Ga2O3 high-power Schottky diodes.
Pronoy Kanti Das (PhD Student)
Biography: Pronoy Kanti Das completed his B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from BUET in July 2024 with Dean’s List recognition. Driven by his passion for semiconductor materials and devices, he conducted undergraduate research on the enhancement-mode operation of β-Ga2O3-based planar MOSFETs. He has broad interest in device fabrication, power electronics, and related fields. His current research includes advanced device development and extreme environment application of ultra-wide bandgap oxide and nitride power devices.
Ahsanul Mohaimeen Audri (MS student)
Biography: Ahsanul joined Prof. Farzana’s group in Spring 2024. He completed his B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from BUET on May, 2022. After his undergraduate, he worked as a Research Assistant in the Research and Innovation Center for Science and Engineering (RISE) at BUET. His research experience there included semiconductor device modeling and performance analysis of multijunction solar cells. He is currently working on electrothermal modeling and fabrication of β-Ga2O3 devices.
