Certified Build Co. is the construction and property rehabilitation arm of ESE, founded by True Avery to provide quality, cost-effective repairs and improvements while building a stronger network of people who know how to work with their hands and serve their communities.

With more than 10 years of hands-on experience in residential construction, apartment turns, renovations, property maintenance, and project management, True has built Certified Build Co. around a simple idea: a lot of the time, people already have the resources they need. They just need the knowledge, the tools, and the right people to put it together.

Through our network of skilled workers, contractors, tradespeople, and developing workers, Certified Build Co. helps bring projects from assessment to completion. Our work includes residential repairs, renovations, property rehabilitation, maintenance, apartment turns, and improvements connected to ESE initiatives such as support housing and community spaces.

Certified Build Co. creates opportunities for young people and emerging workers to learn practical skills, gain hands-on experience, understand how to care for and improve their own spaces, and become resources within their communities. We believe that learning how to repair a wall, maintain a property, build something, or solve a problem with your own hands can create confidence that extends far beyond the project itself.

Our goal is to make quality work more accessible while developing a generation of people who can look at a problem in their home or community and say, “I know how to help.”
