Fencing is a complex and highly technical sport. As such, a high level of technical proficiency is required to excel at the highest levels. While classes provide more than adequate training to develop technical skill, private one-on-one lessons are the best way for a fencer to accelerate his or her training in a meaningful and tangible way. Lessons allow a fencer to have a coach's full attention, and provide an occasion to help cull bad habits and reinforce good ones, leading to better and more successful fencing. Lessons are generally done regularly to keep skills sharp, but can also be done on occasion to prepare for certain more important events or competitions. At the highest levels, fencers regularly take 2-4 private lessons a week in order to maintain themselves at the their peak.
Private lessons are also a wonderful way to better familiarize yourself better with the multitude of techniques, strategies and tactics involved in fencing, and to get to know the terminology in a more in-depth manner.
Private lessons last 30 minutes each, and can be booked and paid directly with the desired coach. If you are uncertain if private lessons are for you or your child, do not hesitate to speak any of our coaches.
