Duck shooting has been reported as being brutal.  When the ducks are shot at, they are not all killed instantly.  Some are injured and then die a very slow painful death.
There are groups of people who still want to hunt for ducks as a sport and others who want it stopped.

Horses suffer from many injuries during their training and racing.  Many of these injuries can not be treated so they kill the horses.  There are many other factors that have upset people yet there are still so many people that love going to the races for the fashion and money.

Greyhound dog racing has a reputation of mistreating their dogs.  Similar to horses, they suffer from many injuries and are killed if they can't be treated.  Not everyone treats them well.  They are drugged and kept in terrible conditions.  There are many people against this but it is an industry that brings in a lot of money.

Animals are used to test make-up. Cosmetic chemicals are forced down their throats, dripped into their eyes or smeared onto their skin before they are killed and dissected. Many other animals are used for all types of testing.  This has upset many people who have campaigned against this and now, some companies make their products "Free from animal testing"

Caged hens that lay eggs can get very sick and not treated to get better.  Some of them die and are left in the cage.  They don't get any exercise and have low calcium leading to broken bones that are not treated.  Caged eggs are cheaper and still sold in supermarkets.  Free range eggs are a lot more expensive.

When animals are being exported the conditions they experience during their journey leads to suffering and high death rates. Exporting live animals to other countries from Australia helps our economy but many argue that the harm it has on the animals and environment isn't worth it.
