It is my hope that this process allows you to come home to your body. To heal the relationship with your physicality that may currently feel jarred, broken, or thrown off course.
The goal in our work is not necessarily to make the pain go away, (though some relief may be experienced) but to gain adaptive skills and strategies for living a vital and meaningful life, no matter the severity or limitations of symptoms.
This may include utilizing practical tools and strategies, processing medical trauma, questioning and dismantling unhelpful stories around the medical disablity model, ACT, Mindfulness, Somatics, Energetics, and the work of Vidyamala Burch.
Our work with stress will focus on what stories/beliefs, lifestyle habits, perfectionistic tendencies, and physical patterns may be contributing to your negative feelings and experiences.
Breathwork, Somatic Exercises, Mindfulness Practices, ACT, and deep questioning will be core parts of these sessions.
Anxiety is a large part of many people's lives. Whether personal, existential, global, or Eco, we will examine where anxiety lives in both your thoughts and body, and explore what tools and practices will best support your full engagement with your life and the world.
ACT, Mindfulness, Somatics, Energetics, and Narrative are all modalities you can expect in these sessions.
If you are struggling with perfectionism, procrastination, focus, keeping your life balanced, and/or stressing about your choices, I can be a support for you as you work towards your degree and what you want your future to look like.
In our time together we will utilize practical communication skills, interrogating self-beliefs and expectations, and helping you connect with your values and desires as you explore the process of not only getting through your education, but becoming a more fully differentiated and independent individual.
Life is full of endings and beginnings and it is in these spaces that we often encounter the most excitement, stress, and grief. It is often useful during these times to reassess our stories and beliefs, clarify values, and have support integrating new experiences and uncertainties while supporting our own unique nervous system.
Our work in this area will focus on grounding techniques, Tension release, Narrative, Somatic, and Energetic interventions for the nervous system, and orienting towards resources.
We are not always certain of who we are and what we want to do. Some of us feel overwhelmed when confronted with the choices in before of us; some of us fear being trapped by our decisions. It is never too late to explore and reassess these questions.
We will focus on this process through the lens of clarifying values, exploring desire nature, and what beliefs and notions might be either supporting or limiting who you think you can be.
A 90 minute group workshop appropriate for educational, nonprofit, and business settings.
Available both in-person and on zoom.
Participants will learn skills and acquire tools for coping with fatigue, overwhelm, anger, anxiety, despair, loneliness, and other results of chronic stress. We will also explore how to better access solace, hope, connection, wonder, values, and committed action.
