Hello! I am a third-year Occupational Therapy student at Duquesne University pursuing a minor in Assistive Technology. Through my academic, clinical, and extracurricular experiences, I have developed a strong foundation in occupational therapy and a commitment to supporting individuals across diverse populations. I have earned Dean’s List honors for the Fall 2024, Spring 2025, Fall 2025, and Spring 2026 semesters, reflecting my dedication to academic excellence. I recently completed an internship at Southwestern Veterans Center, where I gained hands-on experience in geriatric rehabilitation within a long-term care setting. Additionally, I have shadowed occupational therapists across various practice settings and populations, gaining valuable insight into the diverse roles of occupational therapy. I have also gained experience working with Duquesne University’s Occupational Therapy Department, am an active member of the Student Occupational Therapy Association, and currently serve as a Resident Assistant, where I have strengthened my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. These experiences have reinforced my passion for occupational therapy and my goal of helping individuals achieve greater independence, meaningful engagement, and an improved quality of life.
My top 3 moments as an Occupational Therapy Student
Starting June 1, 2026 I completed a 10-week fulltime internship at Southwestern Veterans' Center in Pittsburgh, PA. I assisted therapists with daily operations and interventions.
On May 20, 2026 I had the honor serving as a scribe for the Association of Schools Advancing Health Professions (ASAHP) Regional Summit connection hub sites together to facilitate communication across multiple locations.
I served as a student aid within the Occupational Therapy department assisting with daily operations and faculty projects throughout the 24-25 school year, prior to becoming a Resident Assitant.
