Eric is a registered architect with experience and ingenuity, studied architecture at SUNY University at Buffalo graduating with his Bachelor degree in 2002. He began his professional career on Cape Cod, working in the mid to high end residential design/build market before returning to his home town of Rochester NY where he transitioned into commercial, mixed use, and multifamily projects. After receiving his Architecture License in 2017, Eric turned to natural building to help provide solutions to the environmental impacts imposed on by the building industry. Through his passion for environmental and social justice causes, he has begun working with local groups to conceptualize solutions for the homeless of Greater Rochester, as well as building a nonprofit focused on sustainable housing and workforce development.
This has lead him to further his studies, and after completing a course in Building science and net zero design, he is Currently pursuing BPI certifications for Building Analyst & Envelope. He will also be working with the "Community Rebuilds" program in Moab Utah this summer/fall (2019), taking on the "Living Building Challenge", to build two affordable homes under the strict guidelines of the program.
