Assessment rubrics

Assessment rubrics

"A rubric is an assessment tool which sets up grading criteria for tasks. A rubric defines in writing what is expected of the student to get a particular grade on an assignment. A good rubric also describes levels of quality of the criteria. These levels of performance may be written as different ratings (eg Excellent, Good, Needs Improvement) or as numerical scores (eg 4, 3, 2, 1). Rubrics help define "quality", when students use rubrics regularly to judge their work, they begin to accept more responsibility for the end product. Rubrics make it easier to explain students what they can do to improve." (https://www.uen.org/rubric/know.shtml)

After completing tasks, teams self-assessed their work using assessment rubrics.
