"Designing a firm knowing Regional and European rules"

Important activities

The week in Romania was dedicated to the project work that was pupil-centred and allowed the student’ involvement in decision making. Starting from the activity title - Designing a firm knowing regional and European rules, the objective was to make students to work togheter in transnational groups using research methods and determined information which is relevant and interesting for their partners about Globalisation and its effects on Romanian economy, similarities and differences between partner countries. The main activities were optimized respect to the original agenda, and they can be summed up as follows:

DAY 1 – Presentation about : Personal finances, Creating ideas in business, Business etiquette, Designing a firm knowing regional and European rules, PPT presentation about the best Christmas moments of the students from every country. A Workshop at the Chamber of Commerce about the real economic environment of the County in the light of Globalization; Supporting successful local entrepreneurs was organized and students work in transnational groups establishing 10 rules to be a successful entrepreneur:

DAY 2 – Meeting at Uzina Mecanică Vâlcea – The development of a successful business with Romanian capital on the western European market; Meeting at Boromir - 25 years of success in the bakery business; Meeting at Sanovita - Business ideas - how to start a business and turn it into a successful one; Workshop – each country made an analysis of the territory including the local products, Short movies produced by each country were presented – interviews about the impact of globalisation and glocalisation at the local level ; Presentations of the virtual companies of each country (logo, vision, mission, and products to be sold within the international marketplace applying glocal strategies).

DAY 3 – Visits to the Gossamer Family factory; the Pottery Street in Horezu (pottery workshop), the Horezu Monastery (UNESCO monument); Workshop – students, in transnational groups presented different ways to promote a product of the ones seen during the trip. Each group had its own subject: Audio advertising, Video advertising, Poster, Booklet, leaflet.

DAY 4 – Visit at Sibiu – Digital Museum; the Workshop was dedicated to Digital competences for entrepreneurship and techniques/strategies for making the film. During the activity, the students shared the techniques and the strategies used to create a perfect storytelling; moreover, they investigated the matter using specialised web sites.

DAY 5 – the first part of the day was dedicated to Heidi Chocolate, a Romanian premium brand; Workshop - How to conduct a research so that a local product becomes international. The student’s completed a questionnaire to launch a new assortment of chocolates;
