"Celebrating Diversity"

The topic of the project weeek in Utebo (near Zaragoza) was "Celebrating Diversity". The students discussed the challenges and opportunities of diversity and migration in our society. Members of the Spanish school shared their own experiences as emigrants and the students learned how important empathy towards people from different backgrounds is for a peaceful society.

Activities about migration and diversity

Linguistic Barriers for Migrants - exchange of languages
Personal experiences as an emigrant
Dealing with Diversity - definitions, debate on integration & empathy
Creating together - digital elaboration of banners and the decalogue of the good global citizen
Cooking together - Food as a cultural bridge
Radio podcast - some of the teachers and students were interviewed at the Highschool radio station in order to share and disseminate their experience with the rest of the school community.

Selfie tours around Utebo and Zaragoza in international groups
Visit of the islamic Palace "Aljafería" in Zaragoza
Visit of the natural monument "Monasterio de Piedra"
