Mobility in Turkey

Action plan - Turkey

Day 1

The international meeting of the 🇪🇺 Erasmus+ "Smart School" project in Turkey started on Saturday. A group of 8 students and 2 teachers went on international mobility to the city of Bafra by the Black Sea. From Vienna, they flew via Istanbul to Samsun, where their hosts were waiting for them. The weekly meeting will be full of workshops, excursions, joint work, but also fun and making friends. We will keep you informed about the progress of the mobility.

Day 2

The second day of mobility started at a partner school, where students toured classrooms and played integration games. After the lunch prepared by the parents of the Turkish students, the participants went to the Bafra Bird Sanctuary, which is located in the Kızılırmak River Delta. More than 350 species of birds, 6000 buffaloes, wild horses, sheep and many other animals live here. There are also almost 1000 stork nests. In the afternoon, the students toured the city of Bafra and enjoyed free time together with their hosts.

Day 3

On the third day, the students were received by the mayor of Bafry, who wished the participants a wonderful stay in Turkey. At the school, the students took part in the digital teaching of mathematics "Teaching mathematics by computer" and then presented their prepared videos and presentations about their countries, cities, schools and also traditions. Then they all moved to the resort of Yakakent on the shores of the Black Sea. Here they visited the mayor of the city and accepted his invitation to lunch. In sunny weather, mobility participants walked along the coastal promenade, from where they had a beautiful view of anchored boats and fishermen. The students used the afternoon for shopping and activities with new friends.

Day 4

On the fourth day, the program included a visit to the Coding Center in Bafra, where they tried different programming options. They looked at the Kolay & Dam, where they enjoyed the beautiful nature and an evaluation workshop was also held here. After lunch, mobility participants visited the Archaeological Museum and the Tobacco Museum. The day ended with a joint dinner and activities with foreign friends.

Day 5

The fifth day of the holiday included a trip to the city of Sinop, where the ancient philosopher Diogenes was born and lived. The participants viewed the city fortifications and visited the Archaeological Museum. On the way back, they enjoyed a wonderful view of the bay in the Black Sea.

These warlike Amazons lived only in a female community. In the afternoon, everyone enjoyed a demonstration of folk dances, in which they also participated.
