The speech "The Role of Adult Education for Social Balance and Individual Well-Being – Testimonies from Slovakia" explores how adult education fosters social inclusion, personal growth, and economic stability. Through real-life stories from Slovakia and beyond, it highlights the transformative impact of lifelong learning. It also addresses Slovakia’s new progressive Adult Education Act, which introduces Quality Assurance for ALE institutions, Certification of lecturers, and Individual Learning Accounts, strengthening the system's effectiveness and accessibility.

Mgr. Klaudius Silhar, PhD., is an expert in adult education, policy development, and lifelong learning. Since 2011, he has served as President of the Slovak Association of Adult Education Institutions (AIVD), advocating for legislative improvements and international cooperation. Currently, he works also as a methodologist at the Sectoral Councils Alliance, focusing on aligning education with labor market needs. His extensive experience includes university research, policy advisory roles, and project management in EU-funded initiatives. He played a key role in Slovakia's Adult Education Act, which introduces Quality Assurance for ALE institutions, Certification of lecturers, and Individual Learning Accounts.
